Is there a limit to how many times you can recharge batteries?

Is there a limit to how many times you can recharge batteries?
Ive been using the same Energizer rechargable batteries for, like, a month or two. Should I be getting a new pair, or can they keep getting recharged and recharged every time I need them to be? Will they explode of I overcharge them? How long should I charge them each time?

Answer

On the charger there should be a little light and when you put in your batteries to charge it will turn on. When the batteries are done charging then the light will go off. And Ive been using the same rechargable batteries for about a year and they are still working great. If there isnt a light then it takes about hours to fully charge. And no they will not explode. Ive left my batteries in the charger hours after they were done charging and they never exploded.
